AMY COMES TO TEXAS

Amy came to visit to try to convince me to like Texas. She is the greatest friend and we had the best time. Highlights included:

-Torchys twice

-and gordough's, of course

-Letting the kids run around in a cute stream in Salado 

-Traumatizing the the children at the drive thru zoo but also seeing the cutest baby monkey

-THE BEST DAY at Magnolia. I had never really been before. The weather was perfect and it wasn't very crowded so it was super dreamy. We ate lunch at Magnolia Table and brought home cupcakes.

-Late night Target runs

-Salt Lick BBQ

-Zilker Park

I love my Robker family. Wish they lived closer.

Calvin starts school

The day finally came for Calvin to start kindergarten. It felt long awaited because he has been counting down the days and has seemed ready for so long. His school is called Skipcha Elementary (his teacher is Ms. Hayes) and we like it so far. His first day and every day since has been "the best day ever". 

Mae started preschool at Grace lutheran church in Killeen. She was not nearly as excited for school as Calvin but she didn't cry when I dropped her off so I count that as a win.

                                    

Max + Steph come to visit

Max, Steph, and Olivia came to visit at the end of August and it was so fun but also terribly hot. Calvin and Mae are OBSESSED with Olivia. Plus, she learned to walk while she was here so that was really fun for us. We went to the drive thru zoo (always a highlight), spent a day in Austin, went swimming and they went to San Antonio for Steph's birthday. While we were in Austin we went to Barton Springs for the first time and we loved it. Dallin was even able to be there during the evenings after he got off of work. We love and miss them!
