parents+easter+1stbirthday

My parents came into town for Easter and to celebrate Lewis' birthday. 

Highlights included:

-Getting Mae's ears pierced! (She has asking to do it for a while and she did not even cry!)

-Dinner at Salt Lick BBQ with the Whalens

-A little birthday party for Lewis with my parents + the Williams and Larsons

-Buccee's (my dad loved it as much as I thought that he would)

-Lake Belton

-Dying Easter eggs

-my parents took Cal and Mae to see Dumbo

-Easter! The kids loved the egg hunt

Mae cried a lot when we left. Can't wait until we see them again. Living away sucks sometimes.

Lewis is 1!

Lewis Dennis is officially a year old! I am not one of those people who can't believe it... it seems like he has been with us for even longer than a year. 

At 1 years old, Lewis...

-is completely nuts. Never stops moving! and making messes. and breaking things. He is so cute and so destructive.

-is snuggly! We have never had a snuggly baby at this age, but he has to be in the right mood. He likes to give hugs and kisses.

-likes almost all food as long as he is feeding it to himself and not me trying to feed it to him.

-likes the car and the carseat.

-hates church + sitting in high chairs

-seems to have no interest in trying to walk because he can crawl so fast. He holds his bottle in his teeth while he is crawling and it's so cute.

-sleeps good at night but never naps for super long.

-gets overwhelmed by Mae but is obsessed with Calvin

-has 6 teeth

-is not shy and doesn't have stranger danger. He does great with the gym daycare everyday and babysitters.

-loves slides, balls, and watching Elmo

Our first spring in Texas

Spring was always my least favorite season in Utah but i think it is my favorite in Texas! The weather was beautiful. The rain was annoying sometimes but it was nice that everything was so green and pretty. Calvin and Mae have been playing together much more than they used to and it is really cute. Lewis turned from cute baby to destructo crazy toddler. We spent a lot of time with friends + we (barely) survived Dal's month in the ICU. Success.
