North&South

The beginning of last week I ventured to Salt Lake to attend one of my best friend's weddings. I got to spend a few days there with family and it was lovely (wish Dal could have been there).

The first day I was there I threw a bridal shower for my best friend.
She is getting married in 3 weeeeeks!!

Over the weekend I went with my family to snowbird.  I really like living in Henderson, seriously I do... but it is ugly. I realize that more and more each time I visit Utah.

One of the days my whole family went to Logan to take my little sister to college. It made me feel old. I love Logan! Wish she wasn't moving the opposite direction as me. Boo.

Natalie's wedding dinner was at the old meeting house and was so fun. Nat is one of my very favorite friends and I am so glad that she found Brent! She looked incredible the next day and her sealing was beautiful. So happy for her.

I had to drive home super late on Wednesday to be to work Thursday morning. After work on Friday we drove to LA to spend the day in Disneyland on Saturday! Baby's second time there. We plan on him being here the next time we go. Being pregnant makes Disneyland a little less exciting, but it was still fun. I ate a couple of churros and go to see Cars Land (which is super awesome, by the way). We were home in time for church on Sunday... twas a quick trip.

Dallin and I had the privilege of seeing the happy newly married couple this morning on the way to their honeymoon. They flew out of Vegas, so we had breakfast and drove them to the airport. They are cuties.

We are looking forward to the long weekend at home, getting stuff organized for the big move!

And We're Back

In Vegas, that is.
And let me tell you... it is bloody hot here.

We were pulling into our apartment complex after being gone for 2 months... Dallin was just going to drop me off there because he had to run an errand. We saw all of the lights on in our apartment and I could not believe that I would have left them on for that long! Dal decided to walk me inside, just in case. We found our door broken in and our apartment in disarray. It kind of felt like a movie. We honestly do not know when we were robbed, because we had been gone for so long. They took our Play Station, some jewelry, $5 in pennies (haha, seriously?), and almost 2 thousand dollars worth of Dallin's medical equipment (boo). It freaked us out. They did leave our TV though, so that was pretty nice of them.

Here is the good news--- we put an offer on a house and it was accepted! We still can't really believe it. We have been looking for a quite a while, and this one seemed to fall right into place. If all goes to plan we should be ready to move in about 30 days. It is pretty adorable and only 4 miles from the school.

I am back at work and Dallin is back at school. Life is good. The second year of med school is already proving to be particularly grueling. It should make for a pretty crazy semester with buying a house, moving, running and marathon (for Dal), and having a baby. Wish us luck.

Utah + Dallin

Dallin and I spent 10 days in Utah after he got home from Texas, before we had to go back to Vegas. Dallin felt like he had to squeeze his entire summer into 10 days, since he just spent his only summer off at boot camp. I would say we were pretty successful!

In Salt Lake we hiked, lit off fireworks, had a poker tournament, went to an outdoor movie at snowbird, Dallin went golfing three times and went to his first baby shower. My friends threw us a baby shower and baby Calvin got spoiled. We are so grateful.

In St. George we saw Aladin at Tuachan, went boating, played lots of hearts, rode a bike off of a ramp into a lake (Dallin did that), and watched the olympics.

Tomorrow marks beginning of the third trimester of my pregnancy! I have been feeling a little bit better. He moves around all the time and we are pretty obsessed with it.

San Antonio

Over the 24th of July I went to San Antonio to see Dallin graduate from training as a 2nd lieutenant in the army. It was for sure one of the coolest cities I have ever seen. I would love to live there (if it wasn't so bloody hot).

I was lucky to be able to stay with Dal since he had his own room during the training. We spent the weekend  exploring downtown San Antonio, particularly the river walk and the alamo. The river walk is seriously so awesome. We took a boat ride and ate delicious Mexican food along the river. Dallin's parents met up with us halfway through and spent the remaining couple of days with us.

Monday morning was Dallin's graduation. They had a general come and speak... he did a great job. Dallin is now an officer! We have had a great experience with the army so far. Dallin felt like they teach good values and he feels honored to be a part of it.

I am pretty happy to have a husband again.
