iMay

May was a good month for our family in Texas! Highlights included Mother's Day + my birthday and Calvin finishing Kindergarten! The weather was great all month and we are really loving our friends here. Really liking our life here these days. Oh, and I started teaching for VIPKid in the mornings. I have to wake up super early but I am liking it.

Lisa had some work meetings in Texas so the kids and I met her there. I had never been there and I thought that Houston was a cool city! The kids loved the zoo and staying with her at her hotel.

Dallin had Mother's Day off! It was lovely except that I almost killed him by making him go for a hike + he forgot his allergy meds so he couldn't breath for the rest of the evening.

I TUNRED 30! My birthday was on a Saturday. Dal was working the day shift. We went to a parade with friends in the morning, then Davi was nice to watch my kids while I got lunch and a pedicure with Carly and Laura. We got to go up to the Cheesecake Factory (my fave) after Dal got off. I got lots of sweet packages and messages from friends. It was a lovely day.

Also, our close friends Jake and Laura bought a jetski this month which was super fun for all of us. So many lake days since then. This was on memorial day.

The kids and I have started going on adventures (and getting treats) on Saturdays that Dal works all day instead of sitting around waiting for him to get home.

Calvin finished Kindergarten!! Calvin did very well at Skipcha Elementary and we loved his teacher (Ms. Hayes). He made cute friends and enjoyed riding the bus. I am excited to have him home for the summer.
Calvin's best friends in his class are twins Sam and Dan. They are stationed here from the Netherlands

Hamilton Pools

We spent a random Tuesday that Dal had off at Hamilton Pools. We had been trying to get a reservation for a while and it exceeded our expectations! Mae did a great job hiking, I was proud of her. It was so pretty!
