Mitchells take Hilton Head

Dennis, Lisa, Lauren & Tyler came out to the south for a visit for a week last month. The kids were super happy to have them here! 

They came at the perfect time. Dallin got called to be in the bishopric last week so the day they got here Dennis ordained Dallin to be a high priest and he got set apart. It was awesome (except Mae was naughty).

We spent a few days in Savannah first. We went to wormsloe plantation, the pirates house, explored downtown, and went on a ghost tour! I really love Savannah, so lucky to get to live here.

For the weekend we stayed in a hotel on the beach at hilton head. We have been to Hilton Head 4 of the last 6 weekends because we love it so much. We ate duck donuts 3 times(!!) and had a lot of bunch of awesome beach time. My favorite thing that we did was rent bikes to ride along the beach. It was beautiful! Also, Lauren, Tyler, Dal & I swam in the ocean at 11 pm and it was creepy and awesome. 

Girls weekend in Charleston

The stars aligned + Lindsey and I met in Charleston for an entire weekend with no kids! And it was amazing. Charleston is the cutest city ever. We ate soooo much good food, walked around the city, went to the beach and shopped. I love Lindsey and the south and Dallin for hanging out with the kids for the weekend so I could recharge. 

Calvin gets stitches

We went to Tybee island one day when Lindsey and her girls were in town. Without our husbands it is kind of an ordeal for us to get all 4 of our toddlers + their crap out to the beach. We had been there for maybe 5 minutes when Calvin started playing on these big rocks. He plays on them often when we go to the beach with Dal, but I went over to tell him to stop. On his way back he fell on a rock and landed straight on his head. He cried for like 30 seconds, he was much more upset about having to leave the beach.

Sooooo we packed up all of our crap and toddlers and took them back to the car + drove to Dal's office. It was nice that Dallin could just stitch him up there so we didn't have to wait at an ER. He cried a little during the shot, but was a super champ most of the time. There was a super nice medic there that helped and made Calvin feel better.

Easter with the Hunters

We had the best Easter ever because the Hunters came to visit!

 The Sunday before they got here we went to an Easter egg hunt with kids from Calvin's preschool at the prettiest gardens + in this old, charming southern house. I loved it!

Calvin had been counting down until the Hunters for weeks! We had fun going to the Wormsloe Plantation and exploring downtown Savannah with them for a couple of days, then we drove up to Hilton head and stayed at a beach condo for the rest of the weekend. The weather was perfect and we had the best time.
