First Day of School!

Today is my LAST first day of school.

ever.

It's Jackie's last first day of middle school,

Maren's last first day of high school,

My last first day of college.

Almost done!!!

Look what I learned in college!

While we were packing for the move,

I came across pages and pages of notes from Dal's classes.

Ones that he just won't throw away.

Hey said, "That's what I learned in college!"

And to think he's only halfway done...

Heartburn

This past weekend while in St. George,

Dal and I went for a lovely motorcycle ride up Snow Canyon.

I was so happy to see him, and was giddy the whole time.

As I was getting off the bike after our romantic ride

I burned my leg on the thing that Dallin warned me was hot only 5 min previous.

It didn't hurt that bad,

but it left a pretty gnarly burn.

As I got home, my mom and I realized that the burn actually looks like a heart.

She thinks that it is the most romantic thing ever.

Now I think about Dallin every time I look down at my leg.

I think about him all the time, actually.

I hate that he is gone.

HATE IT!!

I have to laugh, though, when I listen to myself complain about it.

Woe is me! I can't stay with Dal in Vegas until my school starts because I have a great job that is super flexible with my school schedule.

Woe is me! I have to graduate from college.

Woe is me! My husband is in medical school, paid for by the military.

Woe is me! I have to live at my parents house (for free!) and hang out with my awesome family all the time.

Woe is me! My husband lives all the way in Henderson, which is one of the closest places he could be, out of all the ones that he applied to.

Poor me, right? 

The Move...

Goodbye, cute little house in the avenues.

We miss you already!

(except for for the laundromat, huge holes in the wall, and the broken bathroom outlets).

It is official... the long distance marriage has begun. 

I live in Sandy with my family to finish my last semester of school at the U, 

while Dallin is in Henderson Nevada starting med school.

Both of our {AWESOME] families helped move us down to our apartment over the 24th of July.

We have a whole extra bedrooms with 2 beds, 

so we expect visitors!!

Dal has started med school last week.

He loves it and has already made some friends.

He's worked so hard to get where he is and I am proud of him :)

After 2 weeks of being apart, we had our first reunion.

We met in St. George this past weekend and it was soo fun.

My family is the greatest, but I hate being away from Dallin.

Only 19 more weeks!

Also... Dallin swore into the military last week

Raised his right hand, promised himself to his country, and signed some papers.

I wish I could have been there for this!

Lucky for us, Dallin's uncle was able to go and take some pictures.
