Parents in Washington!!

Calvin and I have been counting down the days until my parents were coming to visit for months now. And they finally came! And it was the best! Calvin and Mae had so much fun with them and we did some awesome stuff.

The first day they were here we went to our favorite burger place for lunch and made huge homemade bubbles.

The next day we woke up and went to Priest Point Park. Dal met us for lunch at Tugboat Annies (yum!). We went on a date that night while the kids made 'turtle cupcakes' with my parents. Calvin thought it was awesome, plus it is always nice to get to go out with Dal by ourselves.

On Sunday we rode out to Sequim, which is a couple of hours away. We went to the Olympic game farm there and it was soso funny! They have a drive-thru portion of the zoo where you can see bears wave and feed all the animals bread. It was a pretty crowded day so the zebras and llamas seemed pretty full and weren't too interested, but the buffalo and elk were sticking their heads in our car windows! Calvin was sitting in the back on my mom's lap and they both kept screaming for Dallin to roll the window up because they were scared, but Dal locked the window from the driver's seat and was laughing his head off. It was pretty funny! After we ate lunch we drove to Olympic National Park and did a little hike to a waterfall there. It was so pretty!

The following day we picked blackberries and went to the sound to see some crabs. Calvin liked to pick them up and throw them into the ocean... I felt a  little bad for them. Mae is a pretty early riser so I was surprised this day to wake up and see that it was 8:30 am! Latest I have slept in a long time. My dad heard Mae in her crib and got up with her. When I woke up she had already eaten breakfast and been on an hour long walk!

The last day we went into Seattle since it is pretty close to the airport. We went to Ivar's, walked around the boardwalk, went to Pike's Place, and met Natalie at Gas Work's.

We really had an amazing time while they were here. There are a lot of cool things about living in this beautiful place, living away from them is not one of them.
