We have got a 6 month babe on our hands! Another big month for baby Cal.
Here is what he is up to at 6 months of age:
-The biggest thing this month is that Cal has really started to figure out how to use his hands. I can give him a toy and he will play with it. It is fun to watch him explore with his hands.
-He has totally mastered rolling from his back to his stomach, but not so much the other way. This is unfortunate for him since he does not particularly like being on his stomach...
-We took him to the doctor because he spits sosososo much. The doctor told us that it is just a laundry problem and that he will grow out of it by 9 months or so.
-We started him on solid foods at about 5 1/2 months because the doctor said it might help with the barfing. It has been fun! He eats sweet potatoes, rice cereal, applesauce, and carrots.
-I have figured out that Cal does not particularly like crowds. The times where he seems to cry for no reason have been at basketball games, weddings, Cafe Rio, etc.
-Still loves the carseat, stroller, and being outside.
-He likes Hobbes now!! They play together a lot these days. Hobbes is kind of like my little babysitter because he can keep Cal entertained.
-Bathtime is our favorite time.
-We went swimming 6 or 7 times this month. Cal usually really likes being in the water! Not so much being dunked... but he likes splashing around.
-Hobbes killed the mustache binky and I can't get Cal to take another one.
-Calvin is a champion sleeper now! He normally only wakes up once in the night, and it is usually before i have even gone to bed. It is kind of a rare occasion for him to be rocked to sleep or fall asleep in someone's arms, but when I put him in his crib he usually falls right to sleep.
-I can tell that he recognizes people he knows. He seriously smiles every time he makes eye contact with Dallin.
-He hates church.
-He makes the best ever facial expression where he makes an O face with his mouth and smiles at the same time. It is super adorable.
We love him.
I love the mitchells.
