I seriously cannot believe that Mae is 4. She is still tiny and feisty but she is always cracking us up.
At 4 years old, Mae...
-likes to be independent. Get herself dressed, buckle herself in the car, etc. She does, however, HATE to walk anywhere. She loves to ride in the stroller + shopping cart so she won't have to walk. As you can imagine, she really hates hiking which is a bummer for me.
-is obsessed with Lewis. I have to get after her often to get out of his face and stop laying on top of him. She is pretty helpful with him most of the time.
-CRUISES on her scooter. She is so fast. It's so cute.
-Sucks her thumb all day
-Loves her grandmas. All of them.
-is randomly mean to Maren and is touch-and-go with Dallin (who was gone for most of her 4th year of life in Afghanistan). She usually refused to talk to him on FaceTime so he was nervous how she would react when he got home but she was excited).
-Loves to swim and did really well at swimming lessons this year
-is not shy and likes to make friends, but is also able to play with herself for hours
-loves to tell stories and is very creative
-does not like to try to learn her letters
-loves pickles and dipping everything in ketchup
-is pretty opinionated about what she wears but it is more of a comfort thing instead of a style thing
-wants to be a doctor when she grows up
-looooooves animals. so much talking about animals.
-likes to look at pictures of wounds (both people + animals). It's kinda weird.
-still tiny at the 8th percentile
-likes to run errands, clean, and play by herself. She is so fun to have at home. She is fun most of the time except if I am trying to get her to walk anywhere.
-Started preschool and is not loving it. She doesn't throw fits to go but claims she doesn't like it and complain about "kids being mean to her". It's so odd and funny because I have had multiple moms reach out to me to tell me how much their child talks about Mae and want to schedule a play date.
This is my favorite age + Mae is my best tittle buddy.
