After Dal finished his St. George rotation we headed to Vegas for a few days so that Dallin could take his boards. We had a little scare during my routine checkup where the doctor discovered a heart arrhythmia and sent us to a specialist. After we found out that it would be $1,000, we called my doctor back and asked her how necessary it was, to which she replied it was absolutely necessary and we needed to make sure that nothing more was wrong. Luckily our appointment was later that same day because I was basically a mess. Turns out she is perfect and healthy and fine, and it was fun to be able to see her on the big screen.

We spent our few days in Vegas seeing friends and packing for our trip to Washington. I missed my friends here! The day that Dal took his boards was a good day for us... he felt like the test was really hard but I am so, so happy to have him done with that stupid test. We celebrated by going to dinner and playing games with the Taylors and Robkers.

Cal and I drove to Utah a day early so that we could be there for at least 24 hours so that our drive to Washington could be broken up a little bit. We went and saw my grandparents, had a visit from Lauren Hong, hiked Millcreek with Max, Steph, & Sherrie, and had a nice dinner with family. Cal loves it at my parent's house.

During the 1 day that Cal & I were in Utah, we had a pipe problem in our upstairs bathroom and had a maaaajor flood in our home in Las Vegas. All of the carpet upstairs and floors downstairs had to be torn up, and the pipe basically came through our ceiling. We were pretty devastated, to say the least. Our worry didn't last long though- turns out our insurance is going to cover basically everything and our deductible is about the same as we were planning on paying for the new carpet that we were going to get anyway... so it was a win for us. We had been out of town the entire month before, came home for literally 3 days, and then were going to be gone for an entire month again-- Dal was leaving for Washington THE NEXT DAY. The guy told us that if we would have been gone when this happened then we would be out of a house. It would have ruined everything. We are so incredibly grateful for the timing. Plus, we will be out of town for the whole construction process... woohoo!

1 week before we were leaving for Washington, Dal found out that the army was not going to let him drive there- he had to fly. Cal and I were planning on driving so that I would have a car while we were there. I decided to drive by myself, and just split it up into 3 days- spend a night in SLC, and another night somewhere in Oregon. My parents weren't having that idea and dropped everything to drive with us to Washington, just to fly home basically the next day. I am pretty convinced that I had the greatest parents ever. The road trip ended up being really fun! Cal seriously did not cry once the entire 19 hours and it was awesome to have my parents there with us.

And now we are in Washington for the whole month of July and we already love it here!
