Calvin's birthday was less than a week after Mae was born... so we couldn't have the most exciting of birthdays for him since she was still so little. I think he still had a good day though!
We started out with yummy waffles with buttermilk syrup. He was pretty stoked because he is obsessed with blowing out candles and he was happy to see the house all decorated.
Dal took him to the children's museum afterwards without us because we were worried about taking Mae out... so they went with Justin and Sloane.
Lindsey, Mae & I met them at the park for lunch to have pizza and open his presents. We got him a bunch of books (since he is sooo into reading right now), 'Toy Story' (because we are so sick of Sesame Street), a play doctor kit, and a tee-ball set- which he loved.
In the evening we had some friends over for cake and ice cream. Cal loved being sung to again and got spoiled with presents. Lucky for us, 2 year olds are pretty easy to please.
Cal has looked so ginormous to me since Mae has been here. I am so proud of how great he has been with her and cannot wait to see them grow up together. He has the sweetest spirit and I cannot believe he has been in our family for 2 years already. Happy 2nd birthday to my favorite little buddy.
