4 Years

Dallin and I have been married for 4 years now. I spent a majority of the past year being pregnant, which (everyone knows) makes me a crazy person. We have had quite the year, living in Salt Lake, St. George, Washington, Hawaii, and San Antonio each for 1 month, then Vegas the other 6. It has been quite the adventure.

This is what I learned in my 4th year of marriage
-Dal and I love Disneyland a lot, but Cal is pretty neutral about it. He would much rather go to Jungle Jim's
-Med school syndrome is a real thing and can cause you to think there is always something wrong with you and/or your baby
-Rotations are better than classes
-Cabo is our favorite place on this earth
-I really love babies, but I truly make an awful, awful pregnant woman
-We seriously have the best friends that Vegas has to offer
-Having your child take his first step on Christmas is the most magical thing ever
-The Galaxy movie theater is the greatest
-'New Girl' is super funny. Oh, and 'Brooklyn 99'
-Ritas & Max Brenner's are super delish
-It is very unwise to point a loaded gun at your husband. Especially on his birthday.
-Babies dressed up as zombies are awesome
-San Fransisco is neat
-Both Elder and Sister Outsen are rockstars
-Boards suck this year almost as much as they did last year
- Buying a pack n play is a great investment, especially when you have friends that will let you drop off your baby to sleep there whenever you want
-Sometimes pregnancy causes me to lose 15 pounds and pass out on multiple occasions
-Flying with a 1-year old is much harder than flying with a baby
-Dallin is quite handy, especially working with my grandpa in his awesome garage full of tools
-It is possible to live in 5 states during the course of 1 year
-Both Washington and Hawaii are sooooo green... especially when coming from Vegas
-Hotel living is not so bad when your baby is a rockstar sleeper
-The match for med school is super stressful and stupid
-The army is cool
-Contrary to the online reviews, it is possible to carry a 25 pound boy up to the top of Koko head in Hawaii on your shoulders
-Washington has a billion lakes and Cal loves all of them
-Coconut shrimp on the north shore is the most delicious of all of the foods in the World
-Having a 1 year old makes going out to eat difficult
-Having a 1 year old makes life magical
-My babies like to come early
-Dallin is totally smitten by baby girls... Mae in particular
-We realllllly miss Dal when he is gone in San Antonio for a whole month
-India, London, Albania, Guatemala, and Peru are all really far away
-Having a flood in your house is the worrrrst
-The first couple weeks of having a new baby in the house is just as magical the 2nd time
-Dallin is still a sweetheart

Aaaaaand what did we do on our anniversary? We stared at our babies all day. Mae was only 5 days old so we didn't really feel like we cold go out. We didn't mind one bit. The Taylors came over to play hearts and we stayed up late decorating for Cal's birthday (which is the next day... we didn't plan out our life events very well). I am oh, so grateful that Dallin is the father of my children.

So far during my 5th year of marriage I have mostly learned that Mae has Dallin wrapped around her tiny finger.
