5 Years

1 year
2 years
3 years
4 years
This is what I have learned during my FIFTH year of marriage...

-Washington is 100 times prettier than Las Vegas
-13 hour road trips are actually kind of fun
-We still love Cabo
-We kind of really hate the match
-I love my babies, but I like not being pregnant better than being pregnant
-Moving is super easy with movers
-It's harder to watch whole seasons of shows in one weekend when you are in residency with 2 kids (this year- 'It's always sunny in Philadelphia' & 'Sons of Anarchy').
-Having 2 kids is better than having 1 kid
-Olympic National Park is the prettiest place on earth
-No, wait... It's Mt. Reineer
-and Preist Point Park
-Ok, just Washington in general. Seriously.
-Med school rocks once you are finished with all of your tests
-Cabo is still our favorite place! especially with the Taylors, Robkers, and Tacketts
-Chargers don't work very well after babies suck on them
-Moving away from friends is the worst
-Having potty trained toddlers is awesome
-Potty training a toddler is not awesome
-Moving far away from family is hard. We are really lucky to have awesome family to miss so much.
-Sometimes plan A isn't the plan that was meant to be (still figuring out what our plan B is )
-Pacific Northwest beaches are rocky and cold and so, so pretty
-When driving in a small honda civic with your wife, toddler, 2 week old baby, dog, and friends mom on the freeway, it is not a good idea to try throw up in the car while you are driving
-Our Peru and Albania missionaries are rockstars
-Having a toddler may cause 70% of your conversations to be about superheroes
-The Olympia 3rd ward may just be the best ward in the church
-Graduating from medical school is pretty dang cool... becoming a captain in the army too
-I like cooking much less since Mae (who kind of hates life everyday between 4-6 pm) was born
-Hiking is more fun and also much harder with babies on your back
-We loooove facetime
-Baby girl clothes are bad for budgeting
-Having your house flood the day before you leave town for a full month is super stressful, but less stressful when you have in-laws who come put your house back to gether the day before you get home
-Washington in the summer= perfect weather and daylight until 10 pm
-Havasupi is seriously seriously awesome
-Half marathons are more fun than full marathons
-Selling a house is pretty fun when the market goes up while you were living there
-Sometimes when you split your mouth open while skateboarding with friends and the line for the ER is too long, it's just easier to stitch it up yourself (in the mirror with no lidocaine)
-We love couples trips
-Our kids get so, so spoiled by thier grandparents
-Dallin is still a sweetheart

We celebrated our anniversary by having our nice friends babysit while we went and did the breakfast +kayaking special at Tugboat Annie's. It was so fun and so beautiful.
