Dallin's parents came to visit in October. It was right after the hurricane so a lot of things were closed but we still had a good time with them going on a ghost tour, exploring downtown and river street, and hanging out at the beach.
The biggest thing that happened in October was Calvin started preschool! I was a little bit emotional about it and maybe cried on and off the first day that he was gone, but we ended up LOVING the school he is at (Eli's Place). Almost every kid on our street goes there and he is doing super well. It is in the coolest church building downtown.

During Roland's birthday party at the Nelson's house Calvin came to us crying, saying he swallowed some money. A couple of hours of straight screaming and waiting in the ER later, we found out that he had swallowed a euro coin (bigger than a quarter) and it was stuck. He had to be put to sleep and get it taken out with a scope. It was a little traumatic.
Too many good beach days in October. The girls in my ward go every Friday afternoon and it was so lovely. I love living by the beach!
