Mae turns TWO

Our little Mae turned 2 in October. I wish I would have written this back then because it is now almost January and I can't remember how she is different than when she turned 2.

So, at 2 years old + 3 months, Mae...
-Is hopefully pretty close to being potty trained! We only started a week ago but she is killing it!
-Honestly, I thought that Mae was a really difficult one year old. She was rarely content and hated to be held. I have since figured out that she is just independent and is so much more pleasant now that she is coordinated enough to do things and has enough language to communicate  (mostly). She is so fun now! She has also decided to like to cuddle which is also a huge plus.
-She is so good at remembering to say "thank you" every time I give her anything
-As soon as we moved to Georgia (she was around 22 months) we switched her over to a big bed since I didn't want to set up her crib for such a short period of time. We decided to have the kids share a room and they are loving it! She loves sleeping and never protests bed or naps.
-She also recently decided to like to eat, which has been amazing. She will eat almost anything if she has something to dip it in. Currently she usually eats more than Calvin.
-She is a major mama's girl
-There are sooo many girls her age that live on our street. It seems like it would be fun, but they all mostly fight all the time. Mae prefers older kids to kids her age.
-She loves water. Splash pads, the bath, the beach
-She still has her little 2 year old fits, but mostly she has been so much more fun to be around now that she has learned to talk. She talks so much! Much more than Calvin did at this age and it is fun to watch her learn a new word basically every day.
-Calvin loves her! It seems like she likes him, but she picks fights with him a lot. Good thing he is super patient with her. They just barely started fighting, but they play so much more together now which is fun.
-She is still short and fat :)

We all really love our happy girl!
Here are some pictures of her from the last year.

We didn't do a huge party for her birthday but we did things she likes. Donuts for breakfast, pizza at the park for dinner, and had the Nelsons over for cake. We got her a little baby doll with a stroller and she loves it! She seemed like she had a good day. She is our favorite.
